The 2024 CPS Fall Meeting is organized by the Chinese Physical Society and has been held since 1999. The Fall Meeting aims to strengthen academic exchanges in the field of physics both domestically and internationally, enhance the academic level, promote the comprehensive development of the discipline, and improve the quality of talent cultivation. After more than 20 years of development, the Fall Meeting has grown from an initial scale of 200 participants to today's scale of over 6,000 participants, making it the largest and most comprehensive brand academic event in the field of physics in China.
The 2024 Fall Meeting of the Chinese Physical Society will be hosted by Hainan University and is scheduled to be held from October 10th to 13th, 2024, at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center (Address: No. 258, Binhai Avenue, Xiuying District, Haikou City). The conference will feature academic exchanges through plenary invited reports, invited reports in parallel sessions, oral presentations, and poster presentations, among other formats. In addition, multiple thematic parallel sessions will be set up in various fields related to physics. We look forward to discussing the trends in the development of physics with colleagues from home and abroad, and jointly creating the future.

The Nanoscience and Mesoscopic Physics parallel session is jointly organized by the Chinese Physical Society and the American Physical Society, while the Quantum Information parallel session is jointly organized by the Chinese Physical Society and the Institute of Physics (UK).
During the 2024 Fall Meeting of the Chinese Physical Society, the 33rd General Assembly of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) will also be held in Haikou. Established in 1922, IUPAP is the largest international organization in the field of physics. This is the first time in 100 years that the IUPAP General Assembly is being held in China. The Chinese Physical Society and IUPAP are jointly organizing a series of activities, including public lectures by Nobel laureates, a forum for women physicists, and an Interdisciplinary Workshop: "Physics Research for a Sustainable Planet."
During the conference, there will also be special sessions for Chinese physics journals and a joint meeting of deans/department heads of physics institutes nationwide. Experts and scholars in the field of physics are warmly welcomed to actively participate in the conference.
