In parallel to the IUPAP meetings, the Chinese Physical Society (CPS) Fall Meeting 2024 will be held in Haikou from 11th to 13th. During this period, joint activities will be organized between the IUPAP GA and the CPS Fall Meeting, including the Women in Physics Forum, the Interdisciplinary Workshop: "Physics Research for a Sustainable Planet", and Special Public Lectures delivered by Nobel Laureates.
IUPAP was established in 1922. It is the largest and the only international physics organization that is organized and run by the physics community itself. Currently, IUPAP has 60 member countries / territories. This is the first time in the 100 year history of IUPAP that the General Assembly is being held in China.
