At this year's CPS Fall Meeting, 25 experts from five leading physical societies, namely, CPS, APS, IOP, DPG and JPS, delivered keynote speeches on large-scale facilities for science used in a variety of projects including detection of gravitational waves, neutrino experiment, heavy-ion experiment, and synchrotron radiation light source. They also showed the audience in detail the construction, application and achievements of these large-scale facilities for science. The coordinated efforts of hundreds of scientists and engineers, and particularly international cooperation, are needed to ensure the successful construction and stable operation of large-scale facilities for science. The speakers mentioned that every large-scale facility for science was the result of international cooperation, and the CPS Fall Meeting 2022 offered an opportunity for such cooperation. It is believed that through cooperation and communication, large-scale facilities for science will lead us to more profound discoveries in physics, and further expand the boundary of human cognition.
